Pumping station with electric drive
The electric motor is a key component in an electric pumping station used to pump various types of liquids, including manure.
The electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy, thereby creating a rotational movement of the shaft.
This rotation is transmitted to the pump, which in turn pumps the liquid organic fertiliser.
Electric motors require periodic maintenance, including checking the insulation, lubrication of bearings and maintenance of the cooling system (if provided).
In an electric pumping station, where uninterrupted and continuous operation is critical, selecting the right pump is an important step. The pump needs to have sufficient capacity to handle the volume of manure required by the customer’s application.
In most cases, cantilever type centrifugal horizontal pumps are used and are compatible in interaction with aggressive liquids such as liquid manure, wastewater, neutral-chemical liquids.
