Premium Quality Lay-Flat Hoses
Lay-flat hoses are a type of hose that remain flat when not in use, making them lighter than their rubber counterparts, as well as more spacious and compact in storage. They can be assembled into a system of flat-rolled hoses, coupled together and connected to a pumping station, which allows the pumping of liquids over any distance with high efficiency and productivity. Rapid unwinding and rewinding of the hoses is ensured by means of conveyors with minimal assistance from one operator.
Lay-flat hoses are suitable for mine drainage, domestic and municipal water supply, water pumping, water extraction from rural and industrial wells, similar groundwater projects, hydraulic fracturing, fire fighting and emergency response. Abrasion resistant flat hoses have a wide range of applications in various fields: firefighting, oil extraction, pipeline repair, utilities, agriculture, mining.
Features of Lay-flat hoses
Resistant to weathering and aggressive liquids, the hoses can cope with pumping petroleum products in hard-to-reach places. Thanks to the thermopolyurethane coating, the hoses have good performance at both low and high temperatures (- 50 to 80°C). Hose walls have excellent resistance to ultraviolet radiation, hydrolysis and mould growth. Abrasion-resistant sleeves make flexible pipework effective for use on rough terrain or in areas where features such as strength and high working pressure levels are important.
The protective jacket of Lay-flat hoses can be made from a blend of nitrile rubber and polyvinyl chloride (PVC), thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), or a rubber/PVC blend. The sleeves are manufactured by extrusion – this ensures a strong bond between the coating and the inner layer of the sleeve. Due to their abrasion resistance and high resistance to aggressive environments, the hoses can pump chemicals without damage and can also cope with wastewater.
